Novi, Mich. – July 16, 2010 – Educational leaders from across Michigan will gather together for an informational seminar and networking opportunity with Saginaw Intermediate School District to learn cost-effective ways of managing their IT needs. Red Level Networks will host the event on Thursday, July 29 at 1 pm, in an effort to provide educators and IT technicians the knowledge needed to increase performance, eliminate downtime and discover cost saving initiatives.

Red Level, servicing small and mid-sized businesses, provides managed services and customized full service IT solutions, such as virtualization and disaster recovery. Virtualization allows schools additional agility, ensuring they are able to move quickly in today's fast pace environment. It is also a cost savings initiative for school districts, allowing several operating systems to run on one machine, cutting energy costs through reducing the number of servers needed. Red Level was able to provide Saginaw ISD with a flexible virtualized infrastructure utilizing server and storage virtualization, which increased their efficiency and uptime.

"As more and more products are being developed to support the IT needs of educational leaders and their school districts, Red Level wants to educate IT directors on the best solutions available," said David King, president of Red Level Networks. "We offer our clients customized solutions that provide the best results for any network and peace of mind to any IT professional."

The event is also sponsored by Datacore Software Corporation and Xiotech Corporation and will feature Jeff Johnson, Director of Technical Services at Saginaw ISD, discussing how his team transformed Saginaw ISD into a private Cloud for the school district. Working with Red Level, Datacore and Xiotech allowed Jeff to create cost efficient practices for Saginaw's schools.

"Discovering cost savings initiatives for Saginaw ISD through virtualization makes the district more reliable and sustainable," said Jeff Johnson, Saginaw ISD's Director of Technical Services. "Our IT performance has improved, and as a result, we are also saving funds for our schools."

The event, which will feature prizes such as iPads and netbooks along with a cocktail hour, will be held at Four Points by Sheraton, located at 4960 Towne Centre Road in Saginaw, at 1 pm.
