LateRooms.com - Lace up your running shoes for Sydney's Go Natural Multisport Challenge

July 22, 2010 (PRLEAP.COM) Travel News
LateRooms.com reports Sydney's Go Natural Multisport Challenge will sort the men from the boys when it takes place mid-way through next month.

Only the fittest and most determined people will have entered the contest, in which entrants must battle it out for first place by competing over a 55km course.

To make it to the finish line, those taking part must see off a 32km bike ride, a 12km flatwater paddle and a 12km trail run through Ku-ring-ai Chase National Park.

Anyone who thinks that sounds a little too taxing can at least be assured that the athletes won't be needing a map or satnav to complete the gruelling route, as it will be well signposted.

Sadly - or perhaps fortunately - the event is fully booked for this year, but plenty of spectators will no doubt be lining the course to cheer home the plucky participants.

The Go Natural Multisport Challenge, which is now in its sixth year, takes place at Akuna Bay, about a 40km drive north from the majority of last minute accommodation Sydney has to offer.

Racers will set off from 07:00 local time, so anyone who is planning to watch the spectacle will need an early start if they hope to see the first entrants leave the start line.

For more information on this event, visit the Go Natural Multisport Challenge website or contact the organiser on (+61) 423 735 779.

LateRooms.com recommends a wide range of accommodation in Sydney, including Sheraton On The Park Sydney and Ibis Darling Harbour Sydney.
