NBA STARS HEADLINE AFRICAN MEDICAL MISSION GALA JULY 24TH AT BEVERLY WILSHIRE

The red carpet gala, held at the famous Beverly Wilshire Hotel, will honor outstanding individuals who have contributed to bettering the lives of those in need in Africa. Honorees include the National Basketball Players Association representative, Derek Fisher of the Los Angeles Lakers.

WHAT: NBA basketball players Derek Fisher (LA Lakers), Maurice Evans (Atlanta Hawks), Theo Ratliff (Charlotte Bobcats), Etan Thomas (OKC Thunder) and others will headline a red carpet gala celebration to raise awareness and funds for Operation Heal Africa Foundation on Saturday, July 24th at 6:30 p.m. at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, Beverly Hills. The Operation Heal Africa "Hands for Healing" program has been providing care to the underprivileged in villages throughout Nigeria and Uganda. Volunteer surgeons and nurses have traveled to these countries to offer life-saving treatment and hope. The group's medical missions were featured in the recently-released (Beverly Hills Film Festival) documentary, "Bombo" The Medical Mission.
