- Fun for all the family at Gold Coast City Cup Raceday

July 30, 2010 (PRLEAP.COM) Travel News reports the annual Gold Coast City Cup Raceday is returning to the Australian coastal resort, with organisers promising that it will be a great day for young and old alike.

Bundall's Gold Coast Turf Club plays host to the event every year and, as expected, live horse-racing is a major part of the bill.

However, a whole host of other activities are held throughout the day to ensure that youngsters are just as entertained as older 5 star hotels Gold Coast customers.

Between 10:00 and 15:00 local time, kids will have the opportunity to keep themselves amused by taking pony rides, visiting a petting zoo, scaling a climbing wall and contesting a colouring-in competition.

All of this - plus a bouncy castle - should ensure that all but the most energetic of children will be tired out by the time they return to their Gold Coast hotels that evening.

The City Cup Raceday takes place on August 28th 2010, with events kicking off at 10:00 and running until 17:00.

Adults staying at Surfers Paradise hotels only have to pay A$8 to get in and enjoy the day's entertainment, while under-18s will not be charged for entry.

However, the organisers have stated that anyone younger than this age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
