- Norfolk visitors to enjoy Thetford Festival

Taking place between August 27th and September 5th, the programme features a diverse array of events, which means people staying in Norfolk hotels should find something to entertain them.

Proceedings will kick off at 18:00 BST on the opening day with the official launch at the Guildhall, followed by a quick jaunt across town to the Carnegie Rooms for a performance from the Cambridge City Brass Band.

A French-themed coffee morning will be held between 10:00 and 12:00 on August 28th at St Cuthberts, with that day's events also including a teddy bears' picnic and an evening dedicated to the music of the Rat Pack, which will again take place at the Carnegie Rooms.

Other highlights of the festival include a sports fun day on August 30th hosted by Thetford Cricket Club, a concert from the Thetford Singers on September 4th and a food and drink show in the Market Place the following day.
