LateRooms.com highlights music lovers will be well catered for during their time in Prague next month, as the city plays host to an international festival of small wind bands.

The event - known as Vejvoda's Zbraslav - will run between September 24th and 26th and organisers have revealed that a wide array of entertainment will be packed into these three days.

A number of small wind bands will battle it out to win a competition, in which a professional jury will decide which of the groups is best at performing a set piece of music.

The opening day of the festival will involve each band playing in Zbraslav, one of the districts of Prague where famous composer Jaromir Vejvoda was born.

That evening, guests at Prague hotels will get the chance to enjoy a series of outdoor performances in the festive tent, located in Zbraslav Square.

On the following day, the competition moves indoors to Zbraslav Theatre from 09:00 local time, before a parade through the district kicks off at 15:00.

The winning ensemble will be announced later that day and the groups are also invited to take part in a matinee performance at 10:00 the day after.

These proceedings are put together by Prague's Organisational and Festival Agency, which is also responsible for the International Festival of Advent and Christmas Music in November.

For more information on this event, visit the Organisational and Festival Agency website or contact the organisers on (+420) 222 321 949.
