Aside from the streamlined publishing process, Wix has added the following new features to the free website builder:
- A new messages "inbox" icon at the top of the Wix editor, for announcements, news and tips
- Improved SEO settings with character counts make it easier to add title & description metadata
- Sleek reflection effects can be assigned to items like clip art, pictures, shapes and areas
- Personalized URL icons called "favicons" can be added to premium websites
- Videos on how to make a website accessed inside the editor
