Discover the World's Exotic Destinations for Less - Globus® Vacations

August 31, 2010 (PRLEAP.COM) Travel News
Travel to exotic regions of the world has increased exponentially in the last five years as global travelers look to experience new cultures and destinations. And, escorted touring is an insightful, comfortable and stress-free way to explore foreign locales for the first time. Whether travelers list South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, China, Japan, Tibet, Mongolia or Vietnam on their "must-see" lists for 2011, the Globus family of brands has unveiled a deep offering of vacations designed to enhance their lives.

"At Globus, we understand that travel is about enrichment," said Scott Nisbet, president and chief executive officer for the Globus family of brands. "We help travelers open their minds, meet new people and experience new customs and cultures. With assistance from the best Tour Directors in the business, foreign destinations become familiar harbors."

As part of the company's 2011 vacation offerings, Globus has unveiled several NEW vacations to exotic destinations. Globus is returning to Africa in 2011 and encouraging travelers to search for the "Big 5" (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and Cape buffalo) with two new tours: Kenya & Tanzania: The Safari Experience and Great Parks of Africa. The company is also unveiling two new Asia tours for 2011: Visions of Asia and Intriguing China & Tibet.

Globus' NEW Intriguing China & Tibet vacation is part of the company's Small-Group Discovery series in Asia: A new program that allows for no more than 20 travelers on a tour, giving them a smaller group ratio and the chance for more personalized service and unique experiences. Globus offers five Small-Group Discovery tours in Asia and India.

"Our travelers want to do more than 'see' the destinations they visit. They are looking for unique, authentic experiences," said Nisbet. "We deliver just that. In addition to providing guided sightseeing and engaging lectures in each destination as well as VIP access and no waiting in lines at key sights, Globus provides travelers great cultural immersion and storytelling thanks to highly skilled guides."

According to Nisbet, on Globus' new Africa tours, travelers will have the chance to visit a local Samburu or Maasai village, take a cruise around Lake Naivasha to get up-close-and-personal with the area's hippo population, partake in the great migration of the zebra, gazelle and wildebeest and explore the Olduvai Gorge or the 'Cradle of Mankind' and walk – quite literally – in the (fossilized) footprints of man. And, in Asia, travelers will not only enjoy dozens of "must-see" sights, they can visit a Tibetan Monastery and learn about traditional Tibetan medicine in a hospital, hike to a mountain meadow for a closer view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, watch a calligrapher in action in an artist studio or visit an ancient fishing village for a Sampan ride.

In addition to unveiling new itineraries in Africa and Asia, Globus is continuing to offer travelers popular tours in the South Pacific, including: Down Under Discovery, South Pacific Sampler, Exploring Australia and Naturally New Zealand.

To celebrate its exotic vacations, Globus is providing travelers several early-booking incentives of up to $700 off per couple.
