MOBIFORM Software Ltd. Released Latest Beta Version of Aurora, XAML Designer for WinFX, at Microsoft Professional Developers Conference 2005

Vancouver, Canada, MOBIFORM Software Ltd., a leader in XML-based graphics, announced their latest release of Aurora, XAML Designer for WinFX. The way we develop, author, design and use applications and websites is making a revolutionary shift for the better. The Aurora XAML Designer for WinFX is a design and authoring tool for the new Windows Presentation Foundation, which brings rich graphics, media, documents, and application user interface together for designing, building, and delivering superior user experiences on Windows Vista. Mobiform Software Ltd. exhibited at the September PDC in Los Angeles, California, which is focused around the software development community. With over 5,500 global attendees, this was by far Mobiform’s most successful show. The show focus was on technologies embedded in Windows Vista (Formerly code named “Longhorn”), such as WinFX. Attendees were very excited about the announcements, demonstrations and ability to use Aurora to leverage the power behind WinFX, today.

Aurora was demonstrated at one of the largest sessions at the PDC to show the true power of Microsoft’s technologies. Generating this level of awareness in such a short time frame was previously unmatched and helped in growing the excitement behind the power of Aurora. Other conference highlights included the unveiling of the top selling book at the PDC, WinFX Beta (Wiley/Wrox Publishing). Mobiform’s Ron DeSerranno and Alexandra Young of Mobiform Software co-authored this exciting book focused on Microsoft WinFX. Along with the standard exhibit, Mobiform also was a host in Microsoft’s Window’s Vista exhibit area used to show off products that work with this technology. Combined, over 1000 Aurora Version 6.0 CD’s were handed out to attendees. Attendees were excited about Mobiform’s progress and the functionality of the tool. Many commented on how they used Aurora to demonstrate the power behind WinFX to their organization leaders.

A key attraction to Aurora is that it works within Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 – a key tool for application and web design. Aurora also can be used as a stand alone application or plugged into Microsoft .NET Framework-based applications requiring XAML authoring capabilities. Aurora allows companies to reduce the time to market for their applications while decreasing their development costs.
