LateRooms.com divulges people staying in one of the luxury hotels Cornwall has to offer may like to visit the Roseland Festival next month.

Returning for the fifth consecutive year, this celebration of art, literature, music and dance is set to run between October 16th and 30th.

The festival takes its named from the Roseland Peninsula, the historic district of west Cornwall that is separated from the rest of the county by the course of the River Fal.

Events are held in the town of St Mawes and several of the surrounding villages, with the organisers promising to deliver a diverse programme featuring something for everyone.

On October 19th, a National Trust walk at Nare Head will explore the historical use and mythology of the region's wild plants.

Starting at 12:00 BST, this event is free, although participants are encouraged to make a donation to the National Trust.

Other events on the Roseland Festival programme include the Poems, Pints and Pasties Night in the village of Philleigh on October 19th, as well as the guided walk around St Mawes the following day.

Tickets for the former event are priced at £7 including a traditional Cornish pasty, while the walk will cost visitors just £3.
