Goodwill Denver to Open 21st Store in Colorado, Third in 2010

DENVER, CO September 30, 2010 – Due to the runaway success of its first store in Boulder County, Goodwill Industries of Denver is positioned to open its newest retail location in Lafayette, Colorado in the fourth quarter of 2010.

The new store will be Goodwill's 21st store in Colorado and the third to open in 2010. This will be Goodwill's first store in Lafayette. At 17,500 square feet, the store will be one of Goodwill's largest in Colorado, featuring gently used clothing, accessories, household goods, and more. The Lafayette location will also feature a double drive-through donation center for donating convenience. Together with neighbor Sunflower Market, Goodwill expects a vibrant, busy shopping experience.

"We're excited to bring this Goodwill store to the Lafayette community," said Goodwill CEO Jesse Wolff. "With this expansion we're not only providing our incredible merchandise at a great price, we're creating local jobs and furthering our mission of helping people get back on their feet."

Goodwill's Lafayette location will be located at 555 South Boulder Road in Lafayette Colorado. The store will be open from 9 a.m – 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. The store is expected to open in November of 2010 and will employ 40 members of the Lafayette community.
