MAYFLOWER AGENTS ACROSS THE COUNTRY TRANSPORT AID TO HURRICANE KATRINA VICTIMS

ST. LOUIS – Mayflower Transit, one of the oldest and most recognized names in moving, has a network of more than 400 agents across the country, many of which are donating vehicles, manpower and time to deliver necessary aid to hurricane victims. Recognizing the need for added transportation, many Mayflower agents partnered with local organizations needing assistance delivering donations to affected areas and people.

A & A Transfer & Storage, Inc.
In partnership with the Niceville/Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce, Florida-based A & A Transfer & Storage delivered a trailer of water and clothing to Biloxi, Miss. The agent also delivered and helped to distribute a truck of food to Pascagoula and Ocean Springs, Miss. on behalf of the Okaloosa County Tax Collector and Salvation Ministries. In addition, A & A delivered two trailers of generators, building supplies and water to Biloxi, Miss. and Ponchatoula, La. per a request from former Congressman Joe Scarborough. The agent is continuing to provide free packing material to friends and family going to the assistance of those in Mississippi and Louisiana.


All-American Moving Group
Based in Memphis, Tenn., All-American Moving Group transported nine shipments of donations weighing a collective 160,000 pounds to multiple locations along the Gulf Coast. All-American partnered with Belleville Baptist Church to transport donations to Baton Rouge, La., Poplarville, Miss. and Hattiesburg, Miss. Donations of food, water, personal-hygiene items, paper goods and medical supplies were contributed by local organizations and individuals. The Mayflower agent also provided its services to the Memphis International Church, delivering donations from the Memphis community to Lafayette, La.


VIP Transport
On behalf of Brookstone Emergency Services, Los Angeles-based VIP Transport delivered disaster supplies to the US Army personnel, including US Army 1st Air Calvary at the New Orleans Naval Air Station in Bellcasse, La.

Crown Moving Company and Buehler Moving Services
Seattle-based Crown Moving Company and Denver-based Buehler Moving Services, are combining resources to deliver a truckload of donations from Denver, Colo. to Lafayette, La. Buehler donated the trailer and Crown the tractor.

The Moving Company
San Diego-based agent, The Moving Company, transported a truckload of goods from Los Angeles to San Antonio and Houston.

Norco Moving & Storage
Norco Moving & Storage, a Irving, Texas-based agent, donated its services to move supplies from the San Francisco/Oakland, Calif. area to Houston, Texas.
