October 28, 2010 - On October 12, after extensive online polling and hearty debate, the audience and panel at the Best SEO In Toronto event hosted by CityEvents, chose the website design and SEO company, 9th sphere, as this years winner of the contest. There, five self-proclaimed SEO experts were asked, by the audience and various experts, a series of questions in order to prove that they are the best and deserve to win the business of CityEvents.

"Search engine optimization is important to help companies and individuals increase their online presence, influence their key stakeholders and boost sales," said Deb Lewis, CEO, CityEvents. "Just about everyone has a website today, and there are hundreds of people offering website services — consumers need to know who to trust, and what questions to ask."

Five SEO experts – Ezra Silverton, Paul Coulter, Will Webb, Mike Cloke, and Roman Z. took questions from the audience to prove they can optimize keyword targets using basic and advanced search engine optimization tactics, from link farming to page ranking and directories to practical question regarding pricing and results.

At one point, moderator Rob Campbell of SMOJOE Social Media Marketing, asked the panel if they could vote for any other contestant, who would they vote for. Silverton earned the votes of three of four of his competitors.

"The competition was tough and the questions were very foretelling. This was a great event for helping differentiate the candidate companies," said Silverton. "SEO is not easy and I respect any expert who can last in this industry. The other candidates were true professionals," he added.
