The Al Dhafra Festival 2010 is an event dedicated to the best in culture and heritage from the United Arab Emirates. The fair will feature the finest locally produced goods and services while also providing visitors with a better understanding of the fascinating culture and traditions from the region.

Attendees will be able to find out about Bedouin life while also browsing the stalls set up in the traditional souk where handicrafts can be purchased as well as sampling local delicacies such as dates.

One of the highlights of the festival is the camel auction where visitors experience the furor as residents bid on the finest camels. There will also be special camel shows parading the finest specimens in the breed such 'Asayel' and 'Majahim' which are pedigree and dark skinned camels. In addition, visitors should be sure not to miss the rare and unusual camel beauty contest referred to locally as the Mazayin competition.

All the activities are set to run from 1st to 10th December 2010 and people staying in cheap Abu Dhabi hotels should head to the Al Gharbia area where the event is taking place.

Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: "This is a great chance to see the hospitality and culture of Abu Dhabi. Many people will be heading to the show and hotels will therefore see increases in numbers. To secure the most competitive rates visitors should go online to make a booking."
