The International Seminar on Industrial Engineering and Management (ISIEM) brings together a collection of experts, lecturers, students and scientists to share ideas and submit research findings. Delegates will also be looking to brainstorm on problems affecting the industry in an attempt to find new solutions and answers.

The event has been organised by seven of the top universities in Indonesia who have invited leading engineers from companies worldwide to present their experience and talk about real life challenges for the industry. Academics and government bodies will also be at the conference to highlight the way that industrial engineering and management is adapting for the future.

The theme for this year's event will look at 'Industrial Design and Technology Development Towards Global Challenge' and people have been invited to write papers looking at the subject from various angles. Issues are likely to look at automation and technology used in production and the best papers will then come under discussion at the forum.
