Cloudspace Builds California Political News Website FlashReport.org

Orlando, FL – The website development team at cloudspace and Jon Fleischman, well-regarded veteran political consultant and former Executive Director of the California Republican Party, on October 3, launched the new FlashReport.org website which contains information “…on California’s most significant political news…”. The website consists of a new Blog Post Manager as well as other cloudspace Web Tools which let Fleischman and his team easily collect edit and publish his site’s content.

Fleischman came to cloudspace wanting a similar design to that of the Florida political website Sayfie Review, which was developed by cloudspace earlier this year. He wanted to turn his current email newsletter into a website where people could find daily political news from California. In addition, he wanted to provide a political news blog and RSS feed on his website.

“I couldn’t be more pleased with the website that was created for the FlashReport,” said Fleischman. “From seeing other Cloudspace sites, I had a high expectation for what my readers would see. What I didn’t expect was the ability that the development team has given me to operate the ‘back-side’ of the site. By that, I mean that I can not only easily create and manipulate content, but I can make changes to the actual site – and I’m not very technically adept”

Cloudspace created FlashReport.org’s entire site design and created a new Web Tool called the Blog Post Manager. The Blog Post Manager allows Fleischman and his team to manage all blog entries and commentaries. It also allows Jon and his nine other contributors to publish their online blog entries either via a web-based administrative tool or via email (from a computer, a PDA or even a cell phone).

FlashReport.org also received cloudspace’s Link Blog web tool. The Link Blog is a Firefox Extension that lets Fleischman quickly capture news stories from around the web. The Link Blog saves the captured news stories into an AJAX drag-and-drop based interface where Fleischman can sort, stylize and add images from the online image gallery. Finally, all of the links are published as a new issue of FlashReport.org.

Since the site launched, FlashReport.org has received many compliments on the easy to use site format as well as the unique blog manager.

“The FlashReport e-newsletter on California politics was started in 2001, and I am excited to now have it converted to a website”, continued Fleischman. “But the Cloudspace team integrated my site with my e-mail management firm, so I am still sending out a daily update, to bring people to the FlashReport online.”
