LateRooms.com - Discover Invoking a Demon Landscape in Barcelona

LateRooms.com highlights art enthusiasts may wish to pop into the Joan Miro Foundation during their next trip to Barcelona to check out Invoking a Demon Landscape.

The intriguingly-titled display showcases the work of Esther Manas and Arash Moori, who have created an unsettling installation that shows what is happening in a nearby room hidden to the visitor.

Attendees from the cheap hotels Barcelona has to offer will see what is happening in the hidden area thanks to huge projection screens and speakers.

The artists aim to manipulate people's sensory perceptions, with their creations drawing heavily on avant-garde ideals.

People heading to this stunning exhibition can expect to be confused by the use of sound and visuals, according to the organisers.

"Their work explores sound within the extended field of sculpture and installation. Sound is used as a sculptural medium to change the perception of architectural spaces taken over by Manas and Moori," added the venue.

While Manas is a native of Spain, Moori is from Birmingham in the UK, with this being their first solo exhibition together.

The show is available to view until February 6th 2011.

Admission to the Joan Miro Foundation costs €8.50 (£7.20) and the building is open from Tuesdays to Sundays between 10:00 and 19:00 local time.

Visitors can get to the arts space by taking the Funicular from Parallel Metro station.

For more information on this event, visit the Joan Miro Foundation website or contact the venue on +34 934 439 470.
