Complete SIP-based T.38 Fax over IP Solution from GAO Research and TeleSoft International
January 14, 2011 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology NewsAUSTIN, Texas – January 14, 2011 – GAO Research Inc., (www.gaoresearch.com) a leading provider of embedded telecommunication software, and TeleSoft International Inc., (www.telesoft-intl.com) a premier developer and supplier of telecom and datacom protocol stacks jointly introduce GT-T38, an all-in-one SIP-based T.38 Fax over IP embedded software solution. The GT-T38 enables an end-to-end T.38 fax over internet session over the SIP/SDP protocol, capable of powering T.38 end-points, gateways, and fax relays. The all-inclusive software solution includes T.38 Real-time Internet Fax Processing, T.30 Fax Control Protocol, T.4/T.6 and TIFF image processing, complete with SIP/SDP protocol with T.38 Annex D extensions, and RTP.
The GT-T38 is a fully optimized, integrated software solution between GAO's field proven T.38 embedded FoIP fax relay software and TeleSoft's proven CompactSIP protocol stack. GAO's T.38 Fax interfaces with TeleSoft's SDP protocol to initiate a T.38 fax over internet session using SIP + SDP according to T.38 Annex D. TeleSoft's SIP + SDP stack manages the IP fax session while GAO's T.38 handles all fax data and image processing. This complete SIP T.38 Fax solution allows rapid deployment of fax over IP gateways, relays, and Internet aware fax devices by manufacturers, greatly reducing their R&D effort and time to market while minimizing technical risk.
"By integrating renowned and field-proven technologies from both companies, GAO and TeleSoft are able to offer the industry the best-of-breed, most complete embedded fax over IP software solution available," said Dr. Frank Gao, president of GAO Research Inc. "We continue to see growth in the fax over IP market, and we strive to help developers and manufacturers reduce their time to market by using our complete, off-the-shelf ready solution for sending fax over internet."
"As the FoIP market accelerates, developers and manufacturers are realizing that two of the most important factors determining success are fax quality, transmission efficiency and time to market," said Charlie Crowe, President of TeleSoft International. "GAO Research's T.38 Fax Relay software combined with TeleSoft's CompactSIP software set the standard in providing the best quality integrated FoIP solution and we are delighted to be working with them."
The GT-T38 Fax over IP software provides the following features:
