Long-time Los Angeles Area Chiropractor Dr. David Speakman Joins ACOM Health as Company Builds Out Complement of On-Staff Doctors

DULUTH, Georgia and SANDPOINT, Idaho, February 17, 2011 – With the appointment of Dr. David Speakman, D.C., a veteran chiropractor who operated a multidisciplinary clinic in Thousand Oaks, California for 20 years before transitioning to the business world, ACOM Health now has six chiropractors staffing positions throughout the company, it was announced today by Sam Mikhail, vice president of sales. Now an ACOM Health regional manager on the company's ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 Certified RAPID Chiropractic Software sales team, Dr. Speakman operates from his offices in Sandpoint.

"ACOM Health has doctors in strategic positions from sales and product development to professional services and administration," Mikhail said, noting that Dr. Speakman is the second chiropractor to join the company in the last four months. "This policy has been lauded as an indication of our commitment to bringing clinics mired in outdated paper-based workflow into the 21st century. Internally, it also provides us with valuable clinical experience we need to guide our accelerating growth and refine our product and service offerings."

According to Mikhail, Dr. Speakman's career has provided him with a rich array of professional, commercial and technical skills. A general practitioner specializing in rehabilitation, Dr. Speakman operated a clinic that included as many as 16 medical professionals and support personnel. He sold the Los Angeles-area clinic in 2008 and moved with his family to northern Idaho, changing focus from the practice of chiropractic to chiropractic software sales. Impressed with the RAPID chiropractic software suite, he resigned his previous position early this year to join ACOM Health.

Dr. Speakman majored in biology at Brigham Young University and subsequently earned both his B.S. and D.C. degrees at Cleveland Chiropractic College, Los Angeles.
