ImprovMiami.com Announces Nominees for the 2004 Impys Awards For Excellence

Aventura, Florida, October 14, 2004 – ImprovMiami.com, a guide for South Florida improvisational theatre, announces the nominations for The Improv Miami Prizes 2004, or "Impys'. The Impys are dedicated to the promotion of the improvisational art form and to recognize excellence both on and off stage. The event, to be held in early December, will include almost all of the troupes in South Florida for an evening that will raise the standards of improv and have the audiences roaring with laughter as only an improvised award show could.

Nominations are in the categories of Best Short-Form, Best Long-Form, Best Extreme, and Best Sketch. Only troupes that have performed at least five times in South Florida during 2004 are eligible and nominations are limited to 3 per category. Voting will commence on November 12th and each troupe involved in the event will have one vote per category, but may not vote for themselves.

Additional categories for Best Stand-Up Venue, Best Television Improv, and Best Improv Movie and will be announced on October 25th.
