Georgia motel prepares for hurricane Wilma evacuees.

The management of the Villa South Motel in Sandersville, Georgia has begun to schedule more staff and supplies in preparation for the possible influx of families from Florida that will be heading north into Georgia fleeing from the possible approach of hurricane Wilma.
The manager of the Villa South stated that people have already begun to call to check on the availability of rooms but no reservations have been made specifically because of hurricane Wilma as of Wednesday. The manager further stated that as hurricane Wilma gets closer to the Florida coast that she expects to house many family’s as they head into the interior of Georgia for safety.
The Villa South has for many years given a price break to the victims of hurricanes and in addition allows small pets at their motel. In addition the residents of Sandersville, Georgia have always opened their arms and homes to families that have had to flee from hurricanes in the past. Sandersville is located between interstates I-75 and I-95 from the north/south and I-16 andI-20 from the east and west which makes it very convenient for evacuating families. Sandersville is also an ideal location since it is located far enough inland from both the Atlantic and Gulf Coast to avoid most bad weather yet it is close enough to travel to for safety. Travel from both coasts is convenient because of the interstate system that surrounds Sandersville.
