A convention for Toastmasters will be happening in Mysore this May that will be bringing together speakers from India and Sri Lanka to take part in speech contests to find the best from the regions, DirectRooms.com can report.

Ovation 2011 will feature over 700 members from the Toastmasters organisation which helps people with speaking in public and trains members on how to give effective presentations. The conference will feature the International Speech Contest where those taking part have to give a rousing speech on a prepared subject and the winner will go on to represent the region at the international convention later in the year.

The event this year will run from 12th to 15th May 2011 and is for the members of District 82 which features an approximate equal split of people from each country. Other attendees will be coming from Pakistan, America and Malaysia to talk at the event and as well as listening to the speeches there will be a number of education sessions to help delegates improve their technique.

Visitors planning on staying at Mysore hotels around the dates of the event may experience problems when they go to book due to the sheer number of people that are set to attend.

Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: "With so many delegates and especially those visitors from Sri Lanka, accommodation will be in short supply. By booking early enough people can make significant savings before rates start to rise."
