April 22, 2011 (PRLEAP.COM) Travel NewsAdelaide's popular family entertainment festival Something on Saturday (SoS) returns for another run at the start of next month.
The season features a different performance every week, offering everything from music and ballet to puppetry, circus, musical theatre and even a Bollywood dance party.
SoS 2011 takes place from May 7th to September 3rd. This year's bill includes an interpretation of the Wizard of Oz, presented by the Australian Classical Youth Ballet.
As part of the production, children can participate in a creative workshop that allows them to design and make their own scarecrow, wicked witch or magic wand.
The Wizard of Oz is set to take the stage at Her Majesty's Theatre on May 14th, with shows scheduled for 12:00, 15:00 and 17:00 local time. Tickets are priced at AU$12.
Other highlights include a display from the Mini Bike Stunt Team on June 4th, Peter and the Wolf & Friends on July 9th and a musical spectacle from the Amazing Drumming Monkeys on August 13th.
All the shows charge an admission fee, but the workshops are free to enjoy.
