The 2011 Chipping Campden Literature Festival will begin on Tuesday May 3rd with an inaugural talk by poet and novelist Helen Dunmore.

Due to run until Sunday May 8th, the event is set to bring a varied programme of readings, workshops and other special literary events to the Cotswold market town.

Dunmore's talk will focus on her approach to writing historical fiction, based on her latest novel The Betrayal and her 2001 book The Siege, which was shortlisted for the Orange Prize.

Other anticipated highlights of the festival include A Morning with Graham Greene.

Starting from 09:00 BST on Thursday May 5th, this event will feature a discussion of the writer's early novel Stamboul Train by expert David Pearce.

Biographer Jeremy Lewis is also expected to give a talk on his book about the Greene family and the 1947 film adaptation of Greene's classic work Brighton Rock will be screened later that day.

Elsewhere, South African-born novelist Justin Cartwright is set to discuss his latest book Other People's Money on Friday May 6th.

All events at the festival are individually priced and a downloadable booking form is available from the website.

Literature fans planning a Cotswold hotel stay will find an array of accommodation at LateRooms.com, including the Tortworth Court Four Pillars Hotel.
