ACOM Health Guides Chiropractors through EHR Stimulus Process

June 07, 2011 (PRLEAP.COM) Health News
DULUTH, Georgia, June 7, 2011 ACOM Health recently announced the release of RAPID 7.0 EHR chiropractic software, built specifically for chiropractors, that meets all the software requirements needed to pursue the $44,000 Electronic Health Records (EHR) stimulus incentives.

"In order for chiropractors to receive any of the stimulus money (up to $44,000), they not only have to purchase a government certified EHR software, but must also demonstrate meaningful use." says Sam Mikhail, ACOM Health's vice president of sales. "And, without proper training and support, mandatory elements may be missed."

Chiropractors must complete three major steps. They include: 1. purchasing certified EHR software; 2. demonstrating meaningful use; and 3. applying for the money.

"While this may sound cut and dry, it is anything but that," explains Mikhail. "To help chiropractors receive the EHR stimulus dollars, ACOM Health has created a program, appropriately titled "Achieving Meaningful Use" to help through these three major steps. ACOM Health is the only company that we are aware of that walks chiropractors and their staff through the whole process."

After 90 days of use, the chiropractor must attest to Medicare he/she has successfully demonstrated Meaningful Use of a number of key criteria. ACOM Health works with its users to expertly navigate the nuances to ensure that they are complying with all of the specific requirements to maximize their benefits.

ACOM Health's Achieving Meaningful Use Program offers a comprehensive easy-to-follow training program that will guide chiropractors through the process. Its team of experts stays up to date on all the latest changes and provides a roadmap to ensure that chiropractors are well positioned to take full advantage of all that the stimulus incentive program has to offer.

Chiropractic offices of all sizes will benefit. The software and program is easily scalable and can be designed for one chiropractor up to a multi-chiropractic office. And typically, the stimulus money received will well exceed (in many cases double) the initial investment.

ACOM Health's RAPID 7.0 EHR chiropractic software, is 2011/2012 compliant and was certified as a Complete EHR on March 11, 2011 by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), an ONC-ATCB, in accordance with the applicable Eligible Provider certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The 2011/2012 criteria support the Stage 1 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
