Metano Set for Expansion of Intermediate Bulk Container Market

MILLSTONE TWP., NJ — A forecasted increase in the need for intermediate bulk containers has Metano IBC Services Inc. preparing to serve an ever expanding client base.

The Freedonia Group expects a 5.8% annual increase in the worldwide use of bulk packaging through 2015. Freedonia includes intermediate bulk containers in the report.

Increases in manufacturing activity, particularly in key end-user industries like chemicals and pharmaceuticals, and food and beverages, will fuel the increased need for IBCs and all types of bulk containers, according to Freedonia's forecast.

The report jibes with Metano's own experiences, company President Tom Wilkins said. "We have continued to see year-to-year increases in the use of our intermediate bulk containers, and we're fully prepared to continue meeting those increased demands in the years to come."
