Travellers to Kuala Lumpur will be able to get a unique view of the south-east Asian nation via the new 1Malaysia Helicopter Tour.
The country's government is introducing the new initiative in a bid to attract more visitors, with minister for tourism Dr Ng Yen Yen launching the first tour from Skypark Business Aviation Centre at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in July.
It is intended to allow visitors to take in an aerial view of Malaysia's varied terrain, including beaches, islands, rainforests and rivers, as well as its modern skyscrapers and manmade landmarks.
Kuala Lumpur will be among the destinations from which the tour will be operating, allowing travellers to be picked up straight from Kuala Lumpur International Airport or Subang Airport.
Via a picturesque helicopter trip, they can be transported to Genting Highlands, one of the region's most notable tourist attractions, incorporating a host of shops, dining facilities, a theme park, a casino and more.
During the flight, they will also receive commentary on the sights as they pass by.
