A new Angels Ribe exhibition called In the Labyrinth recently opened at the Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA).
The collection will be available to view until October 23rd 2011, showcasing a selection of the Catalan artist's creative output from the late 1960s to the mid-1980s.
It represents the early stages of Ribe's career and allows fans to see how her unique style started to develop.
She was living in Paris at the beginning of this period and moved to the US a few years later, eventually settling in New York for a long time.
"This project is part of a line of work at MACBA that wants to recuperate aspects of the artistic trajectory of some of our most relevant artists. It is centred on relatively unknown works that are nevertheless significant," remarked a representative from the venue.
Until September 24th, MACBA is open from 11:00 to 20:00 local time on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, between 10:00 and 20:00 on Saturday and from 10:00 to 15:00 on Sunday.
After this, the facility closes 30 minutes earlier during the week.
Admission costs 7.50 (£6.70), but there are concessions available.
Fans of the artist who are keen to find accommodation in the city can browse through a selection of cheap hotels in Barcelona on, such as the Hotel Barbara Barcelona.
Additional details about the show can be found at or by calling the gallery on +34 93 412 08 10.
