LateRooms.com - Raise a glass at the Norwich Wine Festival

August 11, 2011 (PRLEAP.COM) Travel News
The second Norwich Wine Festival is due to begin on Thursday September 1st, offering visitors the chance to attend a range of tastings and special events.

People who buy a festival programme - priced at £5 and available online - will receive a guide to all participating venues, as well as many discount offers on food and wine.

Restaurants and bars taking part in the event this year include The Bicycle Shop, The Ironhouse Brasserie, Pulse Cafe Bar and The Garden House, which is located in the city's Golden Triangle area.

A total of 14 venues will be involved in the 2011 festival, with each one chosen for its interesting wine list and passionate service.

According to the organisers, the mantra of the event is "Drink Different". People will be encouraged to leave their comfort zone and try something out of the ordinary, rather than sticking with their usual chardonnay or pinot grigio.

The festival is aimed at both novices and aficionados, with the emphasis placed on enjoying new experiences through wine.

With offers worth more than £100 featured in the programme, there should be plenty of scope for people to seek out some previously undiscovered gems.

Wine lovers can browse a wide range of Norfolk hotels at LateRooms.com, which recommends the George Hotel Norfolk.
