This December, the launch of a new art project called Idea Cubes Bangkok is to take place, seeing numerous installations put on display across the Thai capital.
Part of the inaugural Citywide Ideas Exhibition, the scheme will involve the placement of 100 works of art, taking the form of interactive 1.2 metre cubes, at iconic locations and places of interest in Bangkok.
Each Idea Cube will be created by an individual artist and will be based on the theme of civic consciousness and societal participation, inspiring viewers to engage with their fellows with acts of kindness and thoughtfulness.
Approximately 10,000 ideas were submitted for the project over the course of several months, with the exhibition due to commence on December 1st 2011, running through to January 10th 2012.
It will culminate with a final display of all 100 Idea Cubes at the Volunteer Street Fair on January 14th and 15th.
