A charity based in Norfolk, UK has today launched their new website which is designed to provide helpful and accurate information about the issues surrounding drugs, alcohol and gambling.

The new website from NORCAS (http://www.norcas.org.uk), which supports those affected by addictive behaviours, has a raft of features to provide clients, professionals and affected others with resources to allow them to identify addictive behaviours, information about the services provided by the charity and personal stories of real recovery. There is also an interactive alcohol tool which enables the visitor to monitor the amount of units they are consuming, as well as a test to indicate whether the user may have a problem with alcohol. Details of NORCAS training courses for individuals, businesses and schools are also featured.

Navigating the site is made easy by use of a 'mega menu' with impactful images to illustrate throughout. The website copy is written in a personal style to ensure accessibility.

Following the success of the charity's first community fundraising campaign, NORCAS Week, the website will also accommodate details on future fundraising events, how to become a volunteer, downloadable fundraising packs and information on giving regular donations.

Chief executive of NORCAS, Maggie Williams, says: "The constant developments in internet resources and social networking mean that people are increasingly looking for more information online and we wanted to respond to feedback received. People are not always comfortable talking to someone straight away, so we have developed a highly informative and interactive website which will provide accurate information about addictive behaviour. This will help us to reach more people at an early stage of dependency."
