Print Service company raises more than £1000 for Children in Need

December 14, 2011 - Balreed Digitec staff took their monthly dress down day to a whole new level in November as they rolled out of their beds and into the office without changing their clothes.

Dressed in their favourite PJ's, the nationwide team spent Friday 18th November, raising money for Children In Need with a host of activities and quizzes organised by conscientious colleagues.

Raking in the most money was the bid for the boss's prime car-parking spot. Eager to avoid the walk from the car park to the office in the drizzly month of December, staff took part in an auction to win the MD's space next to the office front door.

The Balreed Artisans Golf Society also set about boosting charity funds. The keen members of the society thought it appropriate to ask their fellow players to cough up some money for unacceptable behaviour such as having a nut allergy, landscape gardening the course or wearing the wrong trousers! Where a fine was thought up, it was imposed all in the name of charity.

The result of Balreed's effort was an impressive £1079.00 toward Children In Need.

Sarah Hopkins, who helped organise the event, said: "Thank you to everyone who took part and generously helped us raise this fantastic amount for such a worthy cause. It was great fun and a great day".
