Little Falls Dentist, David Ulanet, Spreads Holiday Cheer and Free Dental Services to Victims of Hurricane Irene

December 20, 2011 – Little Falls, NJ – When Dr. David Ulanet began hearing his patients in Little Falls talk about the damage to their homes from Hurricane Irene's floodwaters, he wanted to do something to help them through the economic stress they faced. This week he took two major steps to bring some holiday cheer to them, providing food for their holiday tables and professional dental care for their children at Ulanet Dental.

Dr. Ulanet purchased 20 hams and then distributed them along with bottles of wine to the flood victims. He also told the families that he would provide free teeth cleanings and dental checkups to all of the children whose families would be hard-pressed to cover the cost this year.

"My heart was breaking, when patients told me about all that they had lost to the flood waters and how long it would take for them to recover," said Dr. Ulanet. "Little Falls is a town of hardworking people, and I knew they would be faced with a tough struggle back. By helping them have a special holiday meal would give them a little relief and be a morale booster. I also didn't want to see their children's teeth to be neglected. Oral health is related to physical health and not caring for your teeth while you are young can have ramifications throughout life."
