BOXER CUTS THE PRICE FOR TV2 IN HALF

When TV2 goes premium from January 2012, the standard price for a la carte access to Denmark's most popular TV-channel will be 427 per year with everything included. But on October 3rd, Boxer launches an introduction offer giving viewers the chance to subscribe separately to TV2 for one year for only 199 kr. per year – or 16,50 kr. per month.

"Our introduction offer is designed for viewers who wish to continue watching TV2 via aerial from January without having to pay for other premium channels. We offer our customers TV2 at less than half of the standard price" says administrative director teen Ulf Jensen, Boxer TV A/S, who adds that the offer is limited to a certain number of subscriptions.

Boxer is the only TV-provider catering to Danes who wish access to TV2 without having to pay for other premium channels. Viewers will of course have continued aerial access to the nine tax-financed TV-channels without added costs.

If you want access to TV2 without having to purchase any other premium channels, Boxer is by far the cheapest solution. At only 16,50 kr. per month during the first year, Boxer offers you the channel at one tenth of the cheapest solution provided by the country's largest cable provider, where a basic TV-package costs 199 kr. per month. You will get TV2 and still be able to view the DR-channels.

600,000 households and over one million TV-sets have aerial reception and will be affected when TV2 goes premium. Many households use a TV provider for their primary TV-set and rely on aerial reception for any other TVs around the house, summer home, auto camper or boat.

"Far from everybody considers that for example their bedroom TV-set has aerial reception and that they will need a Boxer subscription if they wish to have aerial access to TV2 after new year" explains Steen Ulf Jensen.

When the TV2 signal becomes encoded, some Danes will need new reception equipment if they wish to continue watching the channel. Boxer recognizes this with a 150 kr. discount on Boxer-approved reception equipment with every TV2 subscription purchased at Boxer.

TV2 will be included in all TV-packages from Boxer. For the viewer interested in a few extra channels, Boxer offers a package with nine premium channels in addition to the nine public access channels for only 99 kr. per month – or a package with five premium channels for 49 kr. per month. With both offers you get the hardware included free of charge – a digital reception box or a Boxer TV-module for flats screen TVs.
