Singaporean music lovers will have the opportunity to listen to some of the world's freshest and most creative acts at the forthcoming St Jerome's Laneway Festival.
The musical celebration will be taking place at a number of Australian venues throughout January and February 2012, followed by a Singapore date at Fort Canning on February 12th.
It aims to showcase the very best independent and counter-cultural bands and musicians, growing substantially in size, popularity and influence since the inaugural 2004 event.
Acts who have broken into the international mainstream following Laneway performances in the past include Florence and the Machine, Mumford and Sons and The XX.
This year's programme includes acts as diverse as Laura Marling, Cults, Feist, Twin Shadow, Toro Y Moi and Anna Calvi, as the organisers look to build on the success of 2011, which was the first year the festival included a Singapore date.
Attendees can expect the music to get underway at 13:30 local time and run until 01:30 the next morning.
Tickets cost S$135 (£68.30) and are available online now.
Festivalgoers can browse a wide variety of Singapore hotels at, such as the Fragrance Hotel.
