NEW YORK, New York (January 23, 2012) For the second year in a row, the eTail West conference will honor winners in four categories for its "eTail Best-in-Class Awards." The eTail Best-in-Class Awards honor retailers who have displayed marketing excellence in one of four categories: Search, Email Marketing, Mobile and Social.

The eTail conference team is proud to announce that many of the nominees, including Dell, Domino's Pizza and Lululemon, will be speaking at the eTail West 2012 conference. The conference will take place in Palm Desert, Calif. From Feb. 27 Mar. 1, at the JW Marriott Desert Springs.

More than 50 submissions were received from retailers and technology companies eager to nominate retailers who have pushed the envelope with innovative marketing campaigns over the last year.

eTail will announce the award winners on February 1st. Each winner will have the chance to present their winning program as a case study during the event, will receive three free conference passes and a three-night hotel stay at the JW Marriott. There will also be up to three honorable mentions in each category, which will also be announced on February 1st.

Below is a selection of the nominated retailers, as well as a brief description of the campaign for which they were nominated. Please note: this is not an announcement of the winners, but a description of the nominees in three categories.

  • Lululemon: Lululemon has been nominated in the Email Marketing category for its Lovenotes program, which gave customers the opportunity to send small ecards to friends and family and drive traffic back to the website. The Lovenotes program saw open rates of more than 60 percent.
  • Dell: Dell has been nominated in the Mobile category for its mobile application launch. Dell created a mobile email to encourage subscribers to download their free mobile app. After the email launched the app's ranking in the iPhone market went from an average rank of #77 to #17 in the iPhone App Store Shopping category.
  • Domino's Pizza: Domino's Pizza is being considered for the Social Media category for its Domino's Global Day program. On the eve of the brand's 51st anniversary, 19 international markets joined forces for the first time to offer their Facebook fans a very special one-day offer: 50 percent off menu-priced pizzas when ordered online. The one-day event led to an almost 100K increase in new Facebook fans for the U.S. Domino's Pizza page and marked a record digital sales day.

  • Other companies presenting at eTail West 2012 that are in consideration for the eTail Best-in-Class awards include: Hautelook, PacSun, Anthropologie, HP Home and Home Office, Guess, and ShopNBC.
