ClassifiedAds.com Names Jim Nutt its Vice President of Engineering

Nutt brings over fifteen years of experience building and leading engineering teams, primarily in e-commerce and online legal services at prominent companies including Intellectual Ventures, Applied Discovery and CobWeb. He will report to ClassifiedAds.com's Chief Operating Officer Eric Thoreson and lead the Company's engineering team.

Nutt most recently was Director of Software Engineering at Intellectual Ventures, where he directed the global development staff, grew the software engineering team from 25 to 60+ employees and contractors and introduced greater predictability, efficiency and quality to the development process.
Previously Nutt was Director of Product Development at Applied Discovery, where he built one of the first online electronic discovery platforms, expanded the engineering team from 6 to 35 employees and oversaw all product development. Prior to Applied Discovery, Nutt was VP of Development at CobWeb, where he designed and built a hosted e-commerce platform for small- to mid-sized businesses and was a member of the company's executive team that grew the company from 3 to 50 employees.
Nutt began his career with Online Interactive, a company that sold software on AOL, Compuserve and Prodigy, where he designed the company's e-commerce platform and applications and managed the development and QA teams. Nutt received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration (with a concentration in Information Technology) at the University of Washington and a master's degree in Software Engineering from Seattle University.
