The Phuket International Boat Show (PIMEX) will be marking its return to the Royal Phuket Marina from March 29th to April 1st 2012.
 
Taking place for the ninth time this year, the 2012 edition of the annual event will be the first to be held in March/April rather than its traditional new year slot, with the end-of-the-season dates allowing a wider range of boats to be showcased.
 
A diverse array of new vessels will be shown off during the four days, from smaller 30 ft models to 90 ft superyachts, while luxurious villas and cars will also be on display, thus adding to the high-class nature of the event.
 
Last year, a total of 133 national and international exhibitors attended PIMEX, a 25 per cent increase compared to the year before, with 47 different yachts and boats on display.
 
It is the largest boat show in the region and was visited by more than 6,000 guests in 2011.
 
The Royal Phuket Marina venue can be found on Thepkasattri Road in Koh Kaew and is one of Phuket's most opulent areas, offering shopping, dining and entertainment facilities.
