Travellers in Thailand will be able to demonstrate their physical prowess during the 2012 Krabi Rock and Fire International Contest, which will be taking place in April.
Railay Beach and Ton Sai Beach will be the venue for the competition, which will involve two separate climbing competitions, with a fire contest offering an eye-catching additional attraction.
Both a lead climbing marathon and speed climbing event will be held across April 16th and 17th on the cliffs that tower above the beaches, which have become known as one of the world's leading rock-climbing destinations.
Around 600 climbing routes are provided at the two beaches, including challenges that are suitable for participants of all levels of experience and skill.
Those wishing to attend will find the venue located a short boat ride away from Krabi Town, the province's capital.
