Madrid Restaurant Week is set to return for its sixth edition on Friday March 16th.
 
Lovers of fine dining in the Spanish capital will be out in force for the event, which allows people to enjoy special dishes prepared by top local chefs for just €25 (£20.80).
 
The idea is to celebrate Madrid's thriving restaurant scene and offer an affordable menu for people who would not usually find the city's high-end eateries within their budget.
 
A total of 55 establishments are due to be involved in Madrid Restaurant Week, including previous participants such as Arce, Dassa Bassa, El Chaflan, Alboroque, Sula and El Bogavante del Almirante.
 
Running until Sunday March 25th, the initiative follows in the footsteps of similar events celebrating the cuisine of New York, Rio de Janeiro, London and Lisbon.
 
People who attend one of the participating restaurants during the week will also be contributing to a good cause, as €1 from every €25 menu fee is donated to a charitable organisation.
