New Faust Book Sparks Heated Controversy

(Los Angeles) —Christian leader, J. D. Faust, has never shied away from controversy but this time he has really done it.

In an explosive and controversial book that has drawn both high praise and blistering criticism, pastor and author, J. D. Faust, has caused a theological earthquake with his startling declaration that unfaithful Christians will be disciplined on Judgment Day.

Faust's book, which has caused a raging debate in Evangelical circles, is called, The Rod: Will God Spare It? An Exhaustive Study of Temporary Punishment for Unfaithful Christians at the Judgment Seat and During the Millennial Kingdom.

Faust, Pastor of Kingdom Baptist Church in Venus, Texas, contradicts modern evangelical teaching and sounds the alarm that the Judgment Seat of Christ is not just about rewards. The Judgment Seat of Christ will also include judgment for slothful Christians. Failure to live faithfully for Christ now can lead to discipline and exclusion from the promised kingdom blessings.

With the heart of a pastor and the urgency of a biblical prophet, Faust's message is clear: Believer take heed! The warning passages are not just for unbelievers! Take action now so the Day of Judgment will be a day of reward and not discipline!

"This well written and meticulously researched book will no doubt become one of the most controversial works in this generation,' says Dr. Greg Dixon, Pastor Emeritus at Indianapolis Baptist Temple.

Already, responses to The Rod have flooded in—both positive and negative.

"Each and every one that names the name of Christ would do well to take heed of what Pastor Faust has written,' says missionary John Melancon.

Pastor Herb Evans, however, calls The Rod, "The New Heresy of Joey Faust.'

As for Faust, he views his controversial book as "an essential antidote for the careless Christianity of the 21st century Church.'

The Rod: Will God Spare It? $18, (458 pages) is published by Schoettle Publishing Co.
