Rent-A-Center made a splash in Rocky Mount, VA, last week when manager Robert Wolf and his four-member rental operations team opened the franchise's newest Virginia location. The household rental store carries high-quality appliances, electronics, computers and furniture that consumers can rent and rent-to-own.

"We are happy to be a part of the community and look forward to servicing the needs of our customers," said Wolf. Located next to Kroger, the new Rent-A-Center is sited at 400 Old Franklin Turnpike, Suite 111, and carries brands such as Ashley, HP, Whirlpool, Sony, and Serta.

Rent-A-Center held a grand opening celebration on Saturday, March 31, where members of the community greeted the new establishment. Rent-A-Center employees also gave away a 42" HDTV via a random drawing, and proudly presented STEP, Inc., and Helping Hands of Franklin County both with donations of $1,000.

Virginia currently boasts 67 Rent-A-Center locations. The Rocky Mount Rent-A-Center's hours are 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

Rent-A-Center, Inc., is based in Plano, Texas, and is composed of 3,000 locations and 18,900 coworkers in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. Rent-A-Center shoppers can obtain high-quality, durable goods like electronics, appliances, computers, furniture, and accessories under customizable rental-purchase agreements that generally allow them to gain ownership of the merchandise at the end of their rental period.
