Hong Kong's Kwai Tsing Theatre Auditorium will be the venue for a trilogy of modern dance performances at the Triptych show in June 2012.
The City Contemporary Dance Company (CCDC), Guangdong Modern Dance Company (GMDC) and BeijingDance/LDTX will join forces to present their latest works on June 15th and 16th, with performances commencing at 20:00 local time.
First up is the CCDC's The Tale of Miles, a new work from choreographer Mui Cheuk-yin that combines stunning imagery, traditional Chinese music and reflections on life's journey.
It will be followed by Voice After - the second part of the Other Suns trilogy collaboration between the GMDC and Margaret Jenkins Dance Company - before the evening concludes with First Ritual, which features music from composer Tan Dun, of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon fame.
Each of the three companies involved in Triptych was established by Willy Tsao, one of the most acclaimed and influential figures in the modern Chinese dance scene.
