LifeInsuranceResearcher.com Launched to Combat the Problem of Under-Insured Americans

June 16, 2012 - Los Angeles, California — According to a February 2012 J.D. Power and Associates website posting, "Studies show that 40 percent of adult Americans have no life insurance whatsoever, and over 50 million people in this country lack adequate life insurance."

According to Mr. Alex Shaw, owner and operator of www.lifeinsuranceresearcher.com, the reasons for this are completely understandable, but dangerous nevertheless. "In this down economy, people are looking for ways to lower their living expenses. While having auto or fire insurance may be required by your state or home mortgage lender, life insurance usually is not. People see life insurance as something that only kicks in when they die. As they don't see that happening any time soon, they cancel their policy or fail to take one out in the first place. But that's a bad move. We launched LifeInsuranceResearcher.com this year (2012) to try to provide people with some real help in overcoming this problem."

In a recent further conversation, Mr. Shaw outlined some of the possible negative consequences of not being insured, or being under-insured. "We've seen it again and again — We have seen families forced to eliminate the private education of their children, we know of families forced out of their homes because they could not make the mortgage payments any more. There are families with no health insurance coverage, because although policies were available, they just could not afford the premiums."

Elaborating further, Mr. Shaw stated "Although life insurance in the US is readily available, if the breadwinner does not take out coverage, the surviving spouse may have to take on additional employment, or may even be forced to work longer hours at the job they presently have, in order to make up for that lost family income. Additionally, the older kids may be forced into taking jobs to help make ends meet, when they are really not ready for that, and perhaps need to stay in school in order to prepare for their own future careers. At the very least, the family will be forced to tap into 401(k) and savings accounts. In this situation, truly everyone loses."

"That's why we decided to launch LifeInsuranceResearcher.com," stated Shaw. We knew that the average consumer needs help in understanding both the various types of life insurance policies that are available today, as well as help in finding the right company to service them. We have a page on our site that has a summary of all the "big boys," as well as a unique tool that lets them input their zip code and get an instant listing of companies they may want to contact. A click of the mouse and they can start the application process. We hope that we can help more Americans get the life insurance protection that their families need."
