CITTIO WATCHTOWER POWERS PROFITS FOR MANAGED SERVICE PROVIDERS DELIVERING NETWORK MONITORING ON DEMAND

SAN FRANCISCO, – CITTIO Inc., the award-winning innovator in network monitoring and operations software, announced that more than ten new systems integrators and managed service providers have joined with it to deliver network monitoring services on demand. These organizations, which operate in the U.S. and Canada, are creating high-margin, high-value business with WatchTower™ and CITTIO’s expertise in network operations management.

“Delivering on demand network monitoring is central to creating predictable revenues through programs that bring value to our customers and increase the ‘stickiness’ of our relationships with them,” said Robert Stants, president of C.A.S.S., Inc. “We evaluated several vendors before deciding to partner with CITTIO. WatchTower’s ease of use, its low starting cost, and lack of ‘gotcha’ add-ons made it a no-brainer. And the fact that the CITTIO team will help work toward our success is a tremendous added benefit.”

“Margins in the technology VAR business are notoriously thin as customers demand deeper discounts on hardware they perceive as a commodity,” said Jamie Lerner, chief executive officer of CITTIO. “In addition to our corporate client base, we are also helping our partners create entirely new business models around network monitoring for the equipment they sell, which in turn makes them strategic partners for their end-customers. This is only possible because of the inherent ease of use, rapid set-up, and cost-effective nature of WatchTower.”

Since launching the company, CITTIO has signed more than 30 VARs, including more than ten in the last two months alone. Some of these include:

• Accipiter (Raleigh, NC; London, U.K.) – an online advertising technology leader since 1996, empowering Web publishers, media networks and eTailers to maximize revenue and reduce operating costs through innovative online ad management and behavioral targeting technologies.

CITTIO’s flagship product, WatchTower™ simplifies network management, while delivering the most cost-effective, easy-to-use enterprise monitoring software on the market. Because WatchTower is optimized for large and mid-sized businesses, organizations can monitor multiple networks with a single system, while allowing user groups to view only the performance of their own networks. Some of CITTIO’s most visionary partners are enriching their business models by offering WatchTower as a remote network monitoring service to customers with substantial IT requirements but smaller IT budgets and staff. By leveraging CITTIO’s platform-agnostic, web-based architecture—along with its capabilities for agent-free discovery, built-in alarms and notifications, automatic latency monitoring, graphing, and thresholding—these resellers are helping small to mid-sized businesses operate their networks with assurance.

I-Span of San Francisco, CA., has been a CITTIO customer since 2003. In addition to offering business development, technical program management, and resource outsourcing, I-Span offers IT management as a managed service. “The WatchTower product has allowed us to significantly increase the MSP side of our business over the past few months,” said Konstantin Vilk, co-founder of I-Span. “In addition, because we were able to finance our WatchTower purchase, we are realizing steady revenue stream even from the first month. From our customers’ perspective, they pay a manageable sum each month and don’t have the full-time salary that goes with an internal solution. CITTIO's vendor support and advanced design allows I-Span to offer our clients a true value-added business solution.”
