Jackson, Wyoming – August 30, 2012 – A robust line-up of events – including its trademark mix of visual, contemporary, culinary, Western, landscape, wildlife and Native American arts – takes place during the Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival September 6 – 16, 2012. The popular annual event, now in its 28th year, offers more than 50 family-friendly activities, many of them free – and all surrounded by the Teton Mountains in their autumn beauty.

The 2012 roundup of artsy fun includes the Palates & Palettes gallery walk on September 7; tours of historic Jackson Hole ranches September 8; and the crowd-pleasing Taste of the Tetons where participants stroll historic downtown Jackson sampling the culinary artistry of area chefs on September 9.

As the 10-day festival continues, the National Museum of Wildlife Art presents its 25th annual Western Visions® Wild West Artist Party and Miniatures and More Show & Sale on September 13 and 14, and artists create original works in a flash at the popular QuickDraw Art Sale and Auction in Jackson's Town Square on September 15. Anyone interested in Western style will want to check out the preeminent exhibition of Western decorative arts and fashion, the Western Design Conference, sponsored by "Teton Home and Living" magazine, which runs from September 6 – 9, with its museum-quality exhibit and sale, a fashion show, lectures and more.

Jackson Hole artist Amy Ringholz, known for her spirited renditions of the animal kingdom and bold, saturated colors, is featured artist for the 2012 Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival. Ringholz characterizes her painting "Dreamers Don't Sleep," created specifically for the festival poster, as a visual manifestation of all that she loves about Jackson Hole. The large-scale piece is currently on display at the Lexington. Altamira Fine Art, which represents Ringholz, will hold a poster-signing on September 12, and "Dreamers Don't Sleep" will be sold at live auction September 15 as part of the festival's QuickDraw event.
