SAN DIEGO CHARGERS AND SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT TO SHOOT PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS TO EMPOWER CHILDREN AGAINST ABDUCTION, ABUSE & EXPLOITATION

WHAT: The San Diego Chargers, the San Diego Sheriff’s Department and the AmberWatch Foundation are teaming up to take a stand against child abduction and molestation by shooting content for 24 30-second public service announcements based on the AmberWatch Foundation’s “Be Safe!” curriculum. The PSA’s will feature Drew Brees, LaDainian Tomlinson, Lorenzo Neal and Luis Castillo of the Chargers along with San Diego Sheriff Bill Kolender. The tips will help parents and children learn simple safety measures and solutions to minimize the chance of abduction and molestation. The spots will feature 12 “Be Safe!” Tips for parents and children in English and Spanish, and will be broadcast all over San Diego, Orange County and Los Angeles in 2006. Cast and crew available for comment from 12:30 to 1:00.
