Commercial Photographer Michael Grecco Wins Awards in 2012 International Photography Awards

NEW YORK, NY – September 26, 2012 – The International Photography Awards awarded fine art and portrait photographer Michael Grecco in several professional photography categories for his outstanding contributions to photography in 2012, after the photography contest received nearly 18,000 submissions from 104 countries across the globe.

Grecco was recognized for his images of David Crosby, Porsche and others in several of the professional photographer categories including Fine Art Portraiture, Fine Art Landscape, Editorial Personality, and Advertising Fashion.

"To shoot dramatic and conceptual portraits, I create moments to capture with my lens that unlock the hidden story of our innermost being to reveal the drama, comedy, and irony of who we really are," says Grecco on his website.

All winners of the 2012 International Photography Awards will be announced at the Lucie Awards at the Beverly Hilton, in Los Angeles.

"Now celebrating its tenth year, the International Photography Awards conducts an annual competition for professional, non-professional, and student photographers on a global scale, creating one of the most ambitious and comprehensive competitions in the photography world today," states the IPA website.

During this 10-Year Anniversary Edition of the competition, the IPA jury panel was comprised of over 80 international photography professionals and the largest yet for the photography awards association.

Grecco has been awarded for his portrait photography and other photographic work several times by the IPA since 2006, and is also invited to present the APA/Lucie Foundation Scholarship to the inaugural recipient, Donna J. Wan, at the 2012 Lucie Awards.
