Christmas Arrives at Belmont Abbey College — Abbey Chorus Prepares to Celebrate Sounds of the Season with Annual ‘Arts at the Abbey’ Concert

BELMONT, NC —- The sights and sounds of the Christmas season will come alive when Belmont Abbey College’s Abbey Chorus takes the stage with its annual concert on Friday, December 2, 2005 at 8:00 PM in the Abbey Basilica, Belmont Abbey College. Admission is free and open to the public.

The Abbey Chorus will feature both modern and classic carols during its traditional concert.

The chorus, under the direction of David Pitt, is an ensemble of students, faculty, and members of the Charlotte-area community. They perform at a number of events at Belmont Abbey College. Membership is open to the public and is offered as a college course for credit.

The Arts at the Abbey concert series is made possible in part by the Associated Foundation, Inc. of Belmont, The Monks of Belmont Abbey and other private donors. Karen Hite Jacob is the series’ coordinator. For additional information, call 704.334.3468 or email kjacob@vnet.net.
