Ascent Scientific commits to cutting-edge manufacturing systems to maintain supply of exceptionally high quality, Low-Cost Ligands™

November 18, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Ascent Scientific (www.ascentscientific.com) announced today its commitment to cutting-edge lean manufacturing techniques to further strengthen productivity, and ensure supply of the high quality, Low-Cost Ligand™ range.
Ascent Scientific has adopted the lean manufacturing and 5S systems, originating from Japan, to further increase efficiency and productivity.
Operations Director Mark King, who has brought 5S and other lean manufacturing techniques to manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies around the UK and Europe commented:
“These systems enable us to improve productivity, quality and efficiency, whilst reducing our costs. This means that we can continue to offer and expand our range of exceptionally high quality receptor ligands at prices so low that as many researchers as possible will be able to afford them.”

Dr. Steve Roome, Commercial Director added,
‘Many customers ask us how we are able to offer such high quality receptor ligands, at such low prices. By utilising innovative techniques such as the 5S and Lean manufacturing systems, and combining this with our decades of synthetic chemistry experience (gained in diverse settings such as Tocris Bioscience and GE Healthcare) we can ensure that we offer superior quality ligands, at ultra-low prices.”
